Hello,
I'm Anne Jo Lexander, also known as Ania to my friends and on the web. I'm currently a 28 29 30 y.o. dazed&confused scrapbooker living at the westcoast of Norway in Bergen with my two kids and husband. I currently work at the local newspaper as a photographer. I have been scrapbooking ever since I decided I wanted to do something special with the photos from my youngest childs christening, which was in fall 2005. The minute I found scrapbooking I was hooked and have never looked back since.
My scrapbooking style varies dependant upon my mood - personally I am fond of calling myself jack of all trades - master of noone. I try to go with the flow and am inspired by my photographs and the stories they have to tell. I also love how the products I use often speak to me and inspire my creativity - using a wide variety of product means that my style is often defined by the direction the product takes me.
To me scrapbooking is just not one thing - I scrap due to a multitude of reasons as to why even take up the photos and papers. One day it's because I want to preserve a funny story about my kids, the next day it might be because a special photo speaks to me and I just want to make a pretty page around it. Sometimes I just feel the urge to create whatever - as long as I am creating. Sometimes things on my mind just needs to be put on paper. And let's admit it - sometimes gorgeous papers and sassy embellishments just scream "use me!" to you. To me all of the different reasons and combinations of those are why I scrapbook and what keeps the hobby so interesting to me over time.
I have experience in teaching scrapbooking classes, both independently and having been a Prima Marketing and Tattered Angels endorsed educator in the past. For more information on teaching-experiences and classes, please see this post.
I also wrote for "Vi Scrapper", a Norwegian Scrapbook-magazine for about a year until they closed down feb 09.

I've been teaching scrapbooking-classes since fall 2006, starting with classes for deaf and hard of hearing newbeginners in Bergen, Ålesund and Oslo over the course of 2006 and 2007. I have also taught deaf at weeklong courses at Ål Folkehøyskole in Ål in 2006 and 2007.
In fall 2007 I had my very first class for hearing during an annual event/convention called Papirfesten in Stavanger. I had much fun and it sparkled my interest for holding regular classes.
I became a PrimaDonna around Christmas 2007 - that is - affiliated Prima Marketing Inc Teacher, and a Tattered Angels Educator fall 2008. I have been teaching scrapbooking for both deaf and hearing all over Norway - Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger, Ål and Ålesund.
Personally I enjoy creating altered and minibook-classes, but the most popular classes are the layout ones. I usually base my classes around a few different techniques and try to include at least two styles in one class (i.e. romantic vs funky), and enjoy giving the students the flexibility of adopting and making the creations their own. Past classes include sewing-on-layouts classes, shadowbox-classes, classes based on layering and clustering and minialbum-classes.
These days I am not an active scrapbook-teacher which means I have resigned from my active positions with the aforementioned companies. I am however still available on case by case requests - just feel free to contact me for more info.
